London
7th - 10th February 2018
ExCeL, London
The London Affiliate Conference 2017 surpassed expectations. The organisers delivered an event that offered solid new business, as well as enhancing opportunity with existing partners - credit to the iGB events team, and the affiliate attendance that makes it possible. LAC sets the standard that other events should follow, and if we had to select just one event to attend each year, it would be this one.

Join us for the London Affiliate Conference and Financial Partners Expo 2018!

The London Affiliate Conference is the standout show in the igaming affiliate space. If you want to start conversations with the biggest affiliates, operators and affiliate programs in the world, this is the show for you.

LAC puts you in a room with over 5,000 delegates - 3,500 of which are affiliates - and gives you the opportunity to network with them in an easy-going environment. You will also learn from the brightest minds in the igaming sector and beyond during our two-day conference programme.

LAC 2018 will take place over four days at the ExCeL London from the 7th - 10th February 2018.

At LAC 2018 you can expect:

  • Tailor-made conference content: We work with you when we build our conference content. That means you can expect engaging sessions that are tailored to you. Add in some top-drawer speakers, and you've got an unmissable conference line up.
  • Non-stop networking: At LAC the networking never stops. Whether you're attending one of our dedicated networking parties, are out on the expo floor or you're having a final drink in the hotel bar you can always meet someone new.
  • Free entry to the iGB Affiliate Awards: The industry's most renowned and respected affiliate awards are back in 2018. Your ticket is 100% free when you attend LAC or FPE London.
  • Exhibitors and Sponsors who go above and beyond: Our exhibitors and sponsors embrace the fun at LAC 2018 -expect famous sports stars, celebrity quiz show competitions and all day dance battles. There's always a reason to visit your favourite stand.
  • Free admission for ALL affiliates and introducing brokers: When we first launched the show we made a pact - no affiliate will ever pay to attend our show. Over 11 years later and we still stand by that sentiment.

Financial Partners Expo co-located with LAC

The London Affiliate Conference is also home to the Financial Partners Expo (FPE). FPE brings together brokers, affiliates and introducing brokers in the retail finance sector. The event has gone from strength to strength in recent years and is now established as one of the largest dedicated expos in the sector. If you are currently operating in or considering exploring the retail finance sector, the show is a great place to establish new connections, build your network and learn about the constantly evolving industry.

Search results today have evolved from showing a list of blue links with page descriptions to displaying a range of useful information about a given result page. Some of these enhanced results are referred to as rich snippets as they provide user with a “richer” browsing experience. While these results may or may not rank higher than others, what they do provide is additional information to users, enhanced visual elements, snapshots of a website’s online offering and, subsequently, an edge when in it comes to stealing clicks from the competition.

In order for Google to display rich snippets, a code implementation known as structured data is needed. In this talk I highlight the benefit of marking up your website with structured data, I explain how to implement them, and I also give some tactical advice in creating a properly marked up website that receives more clicks and traffic from Google search.

2017 was a year where operator/affiliate relations reached an all time low. Major affiliate programs have closed with affiliates losing out on massive amounts of revenue. With regulators enforcing guidelines to the letter of the law, operators are reconsidering how they remain compliant, both in their own advertising and 3rd party communications. This talk considers all the factors which has led to a breakdown between two of the industries major stakeholders. Are operators using regulation to negate on previous agreements? Are affiliates no longer a reliable channel? Do both stakeholders need to re-consider how they structure their deals? All will be revealed at this must see talk.

The changes which will be introduced by the GDPR in May 2018 are substantial and ambitious. Combined with the forthcoming E-Privacy Regulation, they will have a major impact on the way gambling affiliates can operate, and the consequences they will face if they do not comply. Concepts to be introduced, such as tougher marketing consent requirements, the right to be forgotten, data breach notification and the accountability principle (to call out only a few) will present new challenges for affiliates, and will require many strategic decisions to be made.
This session is designed to help gambling affiliates understand the new GDPR and E-Privacy Regulation and how to prepare for them, and provide an opportunity for you to question industry experts. The discussion will cover issues such as:
    • Why the GDPR and E-Privacy Regulation apply to gambling affiliates
    • Notice and consent wording
    • Preparing for new data breach notification laws
    • Affiliates' relationships with operators, and risk exposures
    • International data transfers
The session will be led by Gabriel Voisin, a Partner in Bird & Bird's top ranked data protection team, and Andy Danson, Head of the firm's international Gambling Group.

  • Welcome to the iGB Affiliate Awards 2018. The 2018 event will take place on Friday 9th February during the London Affiliate Conference 2018 and is free to attend to all conference delegates.

The iGB Affiliate Awards are the most respected awards in the industry with a focus on transparency - the awards are designed to reward those who give their all for our industry. We are proud to continually deliver transparent and inclusive awards and look forward to hosting another fantastic event in 2018.

You can now view the shortlist for the iGB Affiliate Awards 2018, we will be releasing information about how you can buy a table soon.

The theme for the iGB Affiliate Awards in 2018 is "Tenacity". We're looking for those who have succeeded against the odds. We're looking for those who have embraced hard work, been tenacious and determined day to day and who continually make a positive impact on our industry.

A reminder about some of the changes that we made to the iGB Affiliate Awards process in 2018, which will continue in 2018:

    • Criteria: The criteria will be at the forefront of both the nomination and judging process. The criteria will also focus on the last 12 months and not before - the awards will be about momentum and not size.
    • The categories: We have reduced the number of awards from 32 to 24.
    • Nominations and voting: The nominations process will remain similar to previous years, however, the voting (which was open to abuse) has been dropped from the process. We now have a nominations board that will use the information supplied as well as their own industry knowledge to create a shortlist of no more than 7 candidates.
    • Judging: For judging the focus will be on the criteria, with points allocated to each item to drive accountability and transparency. There is an increased number of judges and have created a head judge for each category who is accountable for the final decision collated with the fellow judges. The judge’s decision will be final but the head judge will get involved if it’s a tie. The judges will also hold a Q&A with each shortlisted candidate, which will be recorded and made available for you to view. The judges will also create a document for each award that clearly defines why each winner won.
    • Free to attend: The iGB Affiliate Awards 2017 will be all inclusive! The event is free to attend for everyone registered to attend the London Affiliate Conference.
    • VIP tables: If you want a little something extra, VIP tables will be available to book. These will include seating close to the stage and alcohol.

The iGB Affiliate Awards are hosted by iGB Affiliate; organisers of the iGB Affiliate event series and publishers of iGB Affiliate magazine.

Affiliates

Also called publishers or webmasters, an affiliate is a person that refers traffic (in this case players) to an operator website, for example pokerlistings.com would refer a player to 888.com. The affiliate is then paid a revenue share or CPA (cost per acquisition) for each of the players they send.

Introducing brokers

An introducing broker (IB) is a person or institution who has all the functions of a broker, except to accept money or any type of investment. The introducing broker (IB) usually refers its clients to a dealer and, in return, receives a compensation, such as commissions.

Registering as an affiliate or introducing broker

If you are not sure if you qualify as an affiliate or IB, please email us directly at Aaron.Noy@clariongaming.com with details of your business. We will then be able to let you know if you are liable for free entry. If you register as an affiliate or IB under false pretense, we reserve the right to refuse you entry on the day.

If we are made aware of anyone that has entered the event as an affiliate or IB and is in fact not, they will be asked to leave the venue. They will then be given the opportunity to register again and pay for their delegate place, allowing them to return to the show. If they choose not to do this, they will be refused entry to the remainder of the event and associated parties.

We ask for your help in letting us know immediately if you believe someone has registered as an affiliate or IB who should not have. Please approach any member of the events team who will deal with this in the strictest confidence.

Please remember that we can only continue to run these events so that operators and vendors can meet the best quality affiliates and IBs if those that should pay for entrance do.

Once your registration has been finalised, you will receive an email with your bar-coded ticket for the event. It is imperative that you bring this along to registration in order to collect your name badge. With the number of delegates increasing at every event, it is the fastest way to gain entry.

Tickets can either be collected on the first day at pre-registration between 13:00 - 19:00 at the official LAC hotel or you can pick them up from the exhibition venue from 09:30 on the first day of the conference or from 10:00 if arriving on the second day of the conference.

Affiliates and introducing brokers: Email confirmation will be sent to your inbox once you've registered however please allow 5 working days for us to validate your affiliate/introducing broker status. Your barcoded e-ticket will then be sent to once we have validated your status. We will contact you if your registration has been unsuccessful, as your affiliate or introducing broker status will need to be validated in order to gain entry to the conference. This is standard procedure to ensure that we can continue to provide high quality events completely FREE of charge for all affiliates and introducing brokers.

All other tickets: All payment correspondence will be sent to the individual booking contact of each registration or the main contact of a group registration. Confirmation including the barcoded e-ticket will be sent to each individual registered delegate once full payment has been received.

If you did not receive or have lost your e-ticket, please contact Emily@iGamingBusiness.com to be issued a replacement.

For the fastest way to gain entry to the event or to avoid elongated administration processes, it is advised that you bring your e-ticket with you when registering. The e-ticket holds all your details that the LAC staff need to hand you your pass, so you can enter the exhibition, conference and networking parties.

If you have any queries about your registration, please contact Jasmin@igamingbusiness.com.

LAC is an over 18's event. We are operating on a 'Challenge 25' basis, therefore if you are fortunate enough to look under 25, please ensure you bring ID in the form of your passport or drivers licence as we will be checking on the door. Please note that this applies even if you have attended previous affiliate or FPE events.

Simple - click here and tell us exactly where you went wrong with your registration. We will email you back within 24 hours and confirm this has been changed for you.

If you need details changed a few days prior to the event and we are not in the office, don't worry! You can change your details on the day you register, but be aware that this may lead to some delays.
