BetBlocker adds Chinese and Vietnamese software support

The charity has expanded its gambling harm prevention support to Chinese and Vietnamese users in collaboration with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC).
Launched in September, the release coincided with Responsible Gaming Education Month 2026 in the US. According to BetBlocker, 25% of Massachusetts households speak a language other than English, with Spanish being the most prevalent non-English language spoken by residents, followed by Portuguese and then Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin).
Already available in both Spanish and Portuguese, the MGC offered to champion the release of the charity’s software in both simplified and traditional Chinese, alongside Vietnamese, to ensure access for all residents.
Commenting on the expansion, Pedro Romero, chief of SG partnerships at BetBlocker, said: “Language should never be a barrier to accessing support for gambling-related harm.
“We’re delighted to work with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to launch BetBlocker in Chinese and Vietnamese for Responsible Gaming Education Month, helping us reach more underserved communities across the US, with a completely free and anonymous tool, to help people in their recovery journey.”

Recently, BetBlockers also launched its support for Syrian Arabic and Slovakian speakers as part of its global expansion.
