Ten years after turning a Vegas side-hustle to a streaming career, Brian Christopher has become one of the biggest names in casino content creation. In this interview, he reflects on his journey from a child actor to winning two iGBA awards and shares his ongoing ambitions as well as criticisms on today’s streaming scene.

A chirpy bloke from Toronto, Canada, slot-streaming legend and the 2026 iGBA awards’ double winner Brian Christopher aspired to be an actor for as long as he could remember. Throughout his childhood, the future casino prodigy was immersed in theatre, with his first taste of fame coming at age 11 when he was asked to sign autographs after the performance of Oliver. His talent earned him numerous scholarships and a place in a programme at a local acting school, where he became a master of improv.

Christopher’s favourite roles were all goofy, relatable comedy characters – those able to bring laughter to audiences just like the influencer persona he creates today. But his path into casino streaming was more of a surprise than a career choice. Moving to Los Angeles in 2015 to pursue his La La Land dream, Christopher had to support himself by driving for Lyft and Uber. As an avid gambler, he also discovered the thrill of Vegas trips.

“That’s when I got the idea to film my first trip to Vegas and turn my driving income into a series where I tried to double my daily rideshare earnings. All in all, this job has truly combined my two biggest passions: playing slots and entertaining others,” he recalls.

The side hustle soon snowballed into an internet sensation. With an epic jackpot for Cleopatra 2 starting with a $9 bet, Christopher went viral.

Making of “the OG”

Ten years on, with 2.3 million subscribers across channels and 30 million monthly video views, Christopher is proud to be “the OG” of casino streaming. Another nickname frequently used by fans is Rudies, inspired by his signature exclamation “Rude!” when something unexpected happens on stream. Alongside content creation, he also hosts regular slot cruises with his husband and BC Ventures COO Marco Bianchi, where he hangs out with followers and invites them to take part in tournaments.

Looking back to the very beginning of his streaming journey, Christopher said the industry was a whole different world, and there were only a handful of creators in the niche.

“Most didn’t show their face, didn’t speak a word, and didn’t capture the entire game in frame,” he recalls. The game has changed today, with thousands of channels mushrooming over the years.

But quantity doesn’t equal quality. Christopher admits that the market dynamic “has taken away a bit of the fun” for him, as streaming has become “a race to being a top channel with the most subscribers, and spending and losing as much money as possible to get there”. He is steering clear of the numbers game and striving to ensure his content “remains all about the fun and entertainment”.

I am extremely proud of being ‘the OG’, as people love to kindly refer to me, and of organically growing my channels with real followers from every walk of life

Another difference is the industry’s attitude towards content creators. Starting in land-based casinos, Christopher remembers the days when he couldn’t bring out a phone camera on the casino floor without getting hassled. He describes convincing operators to not only allow him to film but also host events on the floor as “a Herculean task”, but one he’s born for. Being a rule follower helped to gain that trust, as he always ensured “everything was done correctly to protect people’s privacy and respect the authority of gaming commissions”.

Thanks to a few open-minded casinos who “truly understood the power of social media”, Christopher gathered the early momentum and continued to grow.

“I reached out to more casinos, more slot manufacturers and more potential sponsors as I knew that if I were to grow this content which was super costly to maintain, I would need some sort of income to offset that,” he recalls.

“Luckily, I found the perfect partners at every step. Mostly, I should say, they found me – which I will forever be grateful for.”

The market dynamic has taken away a bit of the fun for me, but I always strive to make sure my content remains all about the fun and entertainment for my community

Stream beyond Vegas

The appetite for expansion eventually took Christopher beyond the casino floor. A few years ago, seeing US iGaming regulation beginning to expand state by state, he decided to “get ahead of the curve” and move into online casino streaming. To him, the transition was “completely natural and seamless”.

“If you have the love of slots in a casino, you have the love of slots anywhere,” he explains. Today, he operates @BCBets, one of the largest iGaming-focused YouTube channels in the US, alongside Fliptheswitch.com. Derived from a common phrase used in the slots community that the casino “must have ‘flipped the switch’ to raise or lower payouts”, the latter was built with a mission to present players well-researched information and make them savvier.

Christopher’s proudest partnership has to be his two-year campaign with BetMGM as the brand’s official ambassador and ultimate slots expert. Rather than stopping short at sponsored streams, the campaign combined custom content, Christopher’s personality rights for paid ads and fan events both online and in person.

Its deeper integrations included Brian Christopher’s Bonus Drops on BetMGM, using targeted live bonuses based on player-value segmentation during Christopher’s streams. According to Christopher, BetMGM recorded up to a fivefold lift in active players alongside incremental GGR.

“They were fabulous at thinking outside the box and innovating with us on ways to reach our audience like never before,” he says.

We’ve steered clear of both Kick and Twitch for now, and rely primarily on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, where the true scale is

But approaching audiences is becoming harder as major platforms tighten gambling policies. Christopher says YouTube’s automated systems have repeatedly hidden videos even from existing subscribers, despite his channels following its rules and being age-restricted, with the issue only resolved after “countless reviews and investigations”.

Alternative platforms have hardly provided an easy escape route. Christopher briefly experimented with Kick after Twitch became more restrictive on gambling, but felt Kick’s ecosystem was too heavily geared towards Stake, which is not legally available to him in California. Similarly, having banned casino content, TikTok “continues to be a thorn”. While Christopher has pivoted towards non-gameplay videos, his content is still frequently flagged.

“As a result, we’ve steered clear of both Kick and Twitch for now, and rely primarily on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, where the true scale is,” he says. “We have managed to keep our audience growing, now nearing one million BCSlots subscribers on YouTube alone, which is impressive given more platform restrictions than ever. It can be beneficial for brands seeking to collaborate in this space to work with a well-staffed creator who can navigate this well.”

Double winner at the decade mark

Those challenges made BC Ventures’ double victory at the 2026 iGB Affiliate Awards extra sweet.

Alongside Affiliate Campaign of the Year for BetMGM, Christopher also took home Best Streaming Affiliate, landing both accolades at the brand’s 10th anniversary. The whole team celebrated from its Palm Springs office after hearing they had become one of the night’s biggest winners.

“These awards are super competitive, and as a small company of 12 employees, it was truly special to us,” Christopher says. “It never gets lost on us when we’re recognised by the industry. This only makes us want to strive further and continue growing to new heights over the coming years.”

I don’t play on the casino’s bankroll, and I am strongly against channels that choose to play with ‘fake’ money

But revenue isn’t the only achievement that speaks. Well known for being outspoken, Christopher has been using his profile to take positions beyond entertainment. Responsible gambling, he says, starts with transparency.

“I decided early on to show all my wins and all my losses – no footage is held back. I’ve never wanted to be responsible for someone watching my channels and thinking that I always win, and then they lose it all over that,” he explains. “I’ve always had a strict authentic play policy. I don’t play on the casino’s bankroll, and I am strongly against channels that choose to play with ‘fake’ money, as it is super irresponsible and misleading.”

Christopher’s advocacy extends to casino working environments. He stopped promoting smoking casinos years ago and has campaigned publicly for smoke-free gaming, arguing that staff should not have to spend their working lives exposed to second-hand smoke. Most recently, he also publicly slammed an online slot that portrayed a trans character as “lunatic” and “chemically-enhanced”.

“I’m well known for being outspoken on what I believe is right, and will always fight for equality and what I believe is fair,” he says. “I had to speak up as there is no place for that in our industry. I simply couldn’t stay silent.”

Stay real and move forward

Ten years in, Christopher shows little sign of slowing down. BC Ventures is renewing its Betting a Million Dollars to Win a Million Dollars series for a third season after it became the company’s best-performing content programme. The @BCBets brand is expanding across YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, while Christopher hopes his dual US and Maltese citizenship can help him spend more time in the iGaming heaven and potentially build a greater European presence.

The team has also struck a new partnership with DraftKings Casino, engaging slots-first players through entertaining and educational gameplay content, including bringing retail hit games online. He will also be featured in the operator’s app with widget integrations and run IRL experiences to bring the community together.

At the end of the day, anyone can push a button. It’s our personality and sense of community that they keep coming back for. So be a standout for that, and not for unrealistic bets

Then comes another milestone. With @BCSlots closing in on one million YouTube subscribers, Christopher is preparing an all-day $1 million livestream on 8 October, during which he plans to gamble $1 million live.

Yet his longer-term vision for streaming is less about ever-bigger bets. Christopher has grown tired of watching creators wager thousands per spin, land six-figure jackpots and barely crack a smile.

“People follow us for the journey, and to see themselves in us – so keep it real and relatable,” he says.

After all, as Christopher puts it, “anyone can push a button”. What audiences return for is personality, entertainment and community, the same ingredients that turned an aspiring actor’s Vegas side hustle into a ten-year career.
