Rewriting URLS and redirecting search engine crawlers to the new location of your web assets is like doing surgery on a website. When done properly, the website stays healthy. If it’s done wrong, the results can be disastrous, and this can lead to dramatic drops in both traffic volume and quality.

This session covers hard data on the difference between using 301, 302 and other forms of redirects. You'll learn how quickly Google reacts to redirects, how soon pages are indexed and how much link weight passes from an old URL to a new URL.

These are all new insights from Christoph’s SEO tests and research work. Whether you're doing a full-scale site migration or just using shortened URLs for marketing and sales, this session will give you confidence that you are not leaving any redirect behind.

In the pursuit for financial success, outsourcing to the lowest bidder is often the norm and all eyes are on the bottom line.

The problem lies with those in positions of power and is perpetuated by business schools teaching that profitability is king. This permeates the gaming industry, which is still essentially young and needs to be ground-breaking in order to continue sustainable growth.

What we’ve done is to define profitability in terms of percentages, rather than reward innovation as many igaming companies are simply set up to become money making machines, where invention and forward thinking take a back seat to profit, to the detriment of the growth of the industry.

    Key learning points:

    • The cost of the knowledge that is being lost, possibly forever.
    • The cost of being unable to innovate in future, because critical knowledge has been lost.
    • The consequent cost of current business being destroyed by competitors emerging who can make a better product at a lower cost.
    • The missed opportunity of profits that could be made from innovations based on that knowledge that is being lost.
    • The way to continuous innovation and sustainable economic growth

This session will discuss the diamond industry, and how the Internet and e-commerce are transforming the status quo.  By looking at the history of diamond trading and the commodity’s value chain, we begin to understand why diamonds are so precious and rare.
We will examine different diamond categories and how they are assessed, and will also delve into the uses of diamonds for industrial purposes.
The global demand for diamonds is vast and constantly growing, while the output from diamond mines is declining. The introduction of the Internet and specialised software into the diamond industry’s value chain allows for backward integration that streamlines the processes involved. These processes therefore give way for overlaps between diamond trading platforms and financial trading platforms.

    Key learning points include:

    • Diamonds’ properties and how they are assessed
    • The history of the diamond industry
    • The various uses of diamonds
    • The diamond value chain
    • How the introduction of the Internet and specialised software contributes to a change in the diamond commerce
    • Synergy between trading and diamond platforms in the online sphere

Affiliates

Also called publishers or webmasters, an affiliate is a person that refers traffic (in this case players) to an operator website, for example pokerlistings.com would refer a player to 888.com. The affiliate is then paid a revenue share or CPA (cost per acquisition) for each of the players they send.

Introducing brokers

Introducing broker is a person or institution who has all the functions of a broker, except to accept money or any type of investment. The introducing broker (IB) usually refers its clients to a dealer and, in return, receives a compensation, such as commissions.

Registering as an affiliate or introducing broker

If you are not sure if you qualify as an affiliate or IB, please email Emily@iGamingBusiness.com with details of your business. We will then be able to let you know if you are liable for free entry. If you register as an affiliate or IB under false pretense, we reserve the right to refuse you entry on the day.

If we are made aware of anyone that has entered the event as an affiliate or IB and is in fact not, they will be asked to leave the venue. They will then be given the opportunity to register again and pay for their delegate place, allowing them to return to the show. If they choose not to do this, they will be refused entry to the remainder of the event and associated parties.

We ask for your help in letting us know immediately if you believe someone has registered as an affiliate or IB who should not have. Please approach any member of the events team who will deal with this in the strictest confidence.

Please remember that we can only continue to run these events so that operators and vendors can meet the best quality affiliates and IBs if those that should pay for entrance do.

To avoid queueing or elongated administration processes, it is advised that you bring your barcode ticket with you when registering. The e-ticket holds all your details that the BAC staff need to hand you your pass and wristband, so you can enter the exhibition, conference and networking parties.

If you have any queries about your registration, please contact Emily@igamingbusiness.com

We welcome all applications from the media. Please email Haydn@iGamingBusiness.com with your name, the name and address of the media publication, as well as the name of your editor and their contact details.

Once we have confirmed your details, we will contact you regarding whether or not your application has been successful.

Affiliates & Introducing Brokers

Email confirmation will be sent to your inbox once you've registered however please allow 5 working days for us to validate your Affiliate/Introducing Broker status. Your barcoded e-ticket will then be sent to once we have validated your status. We will contact you if your registration has been unsuccessful, as your Affiliate or Introducing Broker status will need to be validated in order to gain entry to the conference. This is standard procedure to ensure that we can continue to provide high quality events completely FREE of charge for all Affiliates and Introducing Brokers.

Non-affiliates

All payment correspondence will be sent to the individual booking contact of each registration. Confirmation including the barcoded e-ticket will be sent to each individual registered delegate once full payment has been received.

If you did not receive or have lost your e-ticket, please contact Emily@iGamingBusiness.com to be issued a replacement.

Badges can either be collected on the first day of the event at pre-registration between 1pm-7pm at the official BAC hotel or you can pick them up from the exhibition venue from 09:30 on the first day of the conference and from 10:00 on the second day of the conference.

For further information, please visit the schedule page.
