Affiliate Monitor: October 2026
Listed affiliates foregrounded the predictions opportunity in a quarter when their battle against numerous headwinds now come across as the calm before the storm due to post-period developments in Brazil.
Affiliates were understandably keen in the Q2 earnings calls to highlight the revenues now flowing through from prediction markets.
For most the opportunity lies not in predictions' acceleration of revenue but of their model beyond the initial referral, as they continue to rebuild around the full path to the customer to lessen reliance on organic search.
That said, one affiliate owner does look set to drive revenue from demand at all levels of the opportunity. Genius Sports already sells official data to platforms and data and pricing to the market makers providing exchange liquidity; the launch of Prediction.com by Legend gives it the media, acquisition and comparison layer (p6).
Elsewhere in Scott Longley’s report, our regular account of the listed affiliates’ Q2 performance as they navigate headwinds from AI to search volatility, market saturation and regulation now comes across as the calm before the storm, given the sudden and devastating developments for the sector in Brazil in late September.
