The affiliate has announced the appointment of Martin Zetterlund as interim CTO, effective 17 September 2026, as it continues its search for a permanent candidate.

In his new role, Zetterlund will lead the group’s technology function and report to CEO Manuel Stan, who highlighted his familiarity with the business and experience in managing tech companies.

“Martin (Zetterlund) has followed our technology work closely from the board and knows the organisation well. His experience of building and running technology businesses will support the team while we complete the recruitment of a permanent CTO,” said Stan.

Zetterlund joined the company’s board of directors in December 2024 and will remain on the board during the assignment. Previously, he founded and led Sentor Managed Security Services and co-founded ScrapeSentry. He has also held senior positions at Distil Networks and Accenture, and worked as an investor and adviser in cybersecurity and technology ventures.

The group’s most recent CTO was Edward Midolo, who joined the business in 2018 as head of technical operations. Catena Media emphasised that Zetterlund’s assignment is being carried out under a consultancy agreement and will run until a permanent CTO takes up the role.

Catena Media recently published its Q2 2026 results, reporting flat performance and search headwinds as it continued investing in a “fully automated marketplace”, due to launch in H1 2027.
