As a renowned expert and respected speaker in the SEO and link building field, we are delighted to welcome Christoph Cemper to the Budapest Affiliate Conference as one of the iGB Training Workshop presenters. We caught up with Christoph to get an exclusive insight into this new addition to the event:
What is an "iGB Training Workshop"?
An iGB Training Workshop is an intensive conference-type session run by an industry expert like me, to provide those in the industry with the skills they need to improve their business and personal knowledge. These sessions are held on Thursday 7th, the day before the BAC exhibition opens, and will be classroom based to allow for lots of one to one time and group discussion. Whatever your involvement in the industry these workshops are a great way to improve your expertise or learn new skills as these sessions will go much further in depth than is ever possible in a normal conference session and each attendee will leave with real hands on experience and ideas they can implement straight away.
Christoph, could you tell us about your background and experience as a workshop leader?
[CC:] My background actually comes from the IT industry, which turned out to be VERY helpful when getting into SEO and online marketing in general in 2003. I've led numerous workshops and training courses over the last 10-15 years and all over the world at SMX, SES, a4uexpo, Pubcon, especially the last year were I have focused on doing link building workshops externally as well as internally for clients. We do link building as a full time job across all aspects and industries including four main languages (including some exotic languages ones too sometimes!) which provides me with insights that are really worth sharing.
Regarding your iGB Training Workshop at the Budapest Affiliate Conference – “Advanced Link Building & SEO Workshop”, who should attend and why?
[CC:] I believe anyone, whether you are an affiliate, webmaster or operator, can learn business critical information from my iGB Training Workshop - be it from a strategic SEO role to the actual guy doing link building. Successful link building campaigns need someone to understand the big picture and take the whole marketing process into account - this starts with simple questions about which markets and goals to define. You can only be disappointed if you have this wrong, haven't set any goals or have no means to measure success. Likewise you have to understand the nitty gritty of the link building work in every aspect to manage link builders. Link builders need an understanding of the big picture as well to explain their work to management or clients who are not so involved with the everyday routine. Risk management and the evaluation of different approaches is crucial, especially when it comes to understanding where you stand compared to your competition. It's not like there's a fixed rule set - link building and SEO change with every market, every month.
