MoveUp Media renews NBA show under official partnership

The affiliate has launched a new season of its basketball programme Conexão NBA through its flagship brand ThePlayoffs, as part of its ongoing media deal.

Founded in 2022 by former North Star Network COO Hassan Boussalem, MoveUp Media operates a global network of affiliate sites focused on emerging markets including Brazil, Chile and India. In 2024, it acquired ThePlayoffs, a leading sports media brand specialising in US sports, with over three million unique global visitors and a strong following in Brazil.

Earlier this year, the affiliate announced an exclusive multi-year partnership between ThePlayoffs and the NBA in Brazil. Under the deal, fans across the country can access official NBA game highlights and expert analysis through the platform, alongside a livestream show, Conexão NBA, offering free coverage of NBA games and stories.

Commenting on the programme’s renewal, Chloé Ripoche, head of media at MoveUp Media, said the affiliate’s mission “is to bring the excitement of the NBA closer to Brazilian fans – in their own language, with local voices and in real time”, adding that the team is “thrilled to start another season and continue building one of the most passionate basketball communities in Brazil”.

Airing live on YouTube every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 pm (BRT), the programme features professional basketball players and industry experts discussing the start of the 2025–2026 NBA season.

This season, the show welcomes new members – Dois Por Cento (DPC) and Arthur Salazar – to the panel, joining hosts Robert Junior, Gustavo Assef and Lucca Hoelzle for in-depth commentary and debate. Viewers can watch live, interact in real time and share their opinions through comments, questions and reactions during the broadcast.
