The Role
At Legend, we’re building defining products at scale. We’re now looking for a VP of Engineering to lead and evolve our Gaming engineering pillar.
 
This role will require you to be onsite for part of the week in our offices in Bratislava
 
Reporting to the CTO, you’ll be responsible for shaping the technical direction of the gaming department, building a high-performing organisation, and delivering the platforms that power our long-term growth.
 
This is a leadership role with real impact — on our technology, our teams, and the trajectory of the business.
 
Your areas of responsibility will be:
 
Strategic leadership - Partner with the CTO and Product/Business leaders to define and execute a 3-year technology strategy
Organisational leadership - Build and lead a high-performing engineering organisation, including a strong leadership tier
Delivery & execution- Own engineering delivery across multiple product areas and platform capabilities
Operational Excellence - Build & lead a high-performing engineering team
Delivery & Execution - Work closely with the delivery function
Cross-Functional leadership - Work closely with C-Level stakeholders to guide & support on technical decision aligned to their strategy & goals

In your first 12 months, you will:
Define and align on a clear technical North Star for the next 24 monts
Establish a strong, scalable engineering leadership structure
Improve delivery performance and predictability across key initiatives
Embed a product engineering mindset aligned with company frameworks
Deliver critical roadmap milestones across core platforms
Increase operational leverage
What you'll bring
Proven experience leading large-scale engineering organisations in complex, high-growth environments
Strong track record of building high-performing Product Engineering teams and leadership layers
Deep understanding of platform architecture, scalability, and modern engineering practices
Experience owning budgets and making strategic investment decisions
Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact
