Software Engineer In Test - Job description Are you good in QA operations, test automation, skilled in JavaScript / TypeScript and ready to grow your career?

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our experienced and skilled Engineering Team of 50+ members, and to join testing operations on multiple projects in our Tech Stack. You will be joining the Paid Media Engineering Team in Nis, Serbia, to work together with other SET/QAs, Fullstack Engineers, Devops, PMs who are located mostly in Serbia, Nis, but also in Poland, UK, Denmark, Bulgaria and Romania. You will be onboarded to our projects, rich Tech Stack and SDLC, and mentored by experienced engineering colleagues. We develop web applications and backend services to support Paid Media business operations, using mostly PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, Symfony, Laravel, different ORMs and databases, AWS, CloudFlare. We work in Scrum (2-week sprints), with all roles included, having regular refinements, plannings, sprint reviews, retrospectives and dailies. We are heavily using AI tools in our SDLC - Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code…
Job responsibilities
Do manual/product testing to ensure the quality and performance of our software and products
 
Design and develop automated functional, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests
 
Maintain automation test frameworks and tools
 
Ensure testability of software
 
Minimum qualifications
2+ years experience in the following:
 
Manual / product testing
 
Basic browser automation testing in any of the following: Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium or similar test automation framework
 
Basic JavaScript, TypeScript or Java skills
 
Good analytical skills, ability to learn quickly, communicate and work collaboratively in a team environment
 
Good to have
Passionate about producing clean, maintainable and scalable test automations
 
Experience in using popular AI tools for test automation development (Cursor, Copilot etc)
 
Experience in performance testing (K6 or similar)
 
Experience with Gherkin and/or Behat testing
 
Experience with Postman testing
 
Frontend / Backend basic knowledge; JavaScript (ECMA 6 and newer), HTML / CSS, Relational Databases, SQL
 
HTTP protocol, Web in general
 
Experience in Git or similar tools
