Senior Symfony Developer (Freelance) job description WHAT YOU’LL DO: Designing project architecture in PHP, including database design. Supporting and maintaining existing projects. Communicating with the client to define technical requirements. Collaborating with the development team (back-end/front-end, QA, PM). Ensuring compliance with technical requirements and delivering high-quality code.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
PHP 8+: deep knowledge, strong OOP, SOLID, design patterns, 5+ years of experience.
Symfony 6/7: experience building complex solutions using the framework; experience with EasyAdmin is a plus.
MySQL / PostgreSQL: indexes, normalization, query optimization.
Redis / Memcached: caching, queues.
Docker: ability to configure environments for development/production, docker-compose. Git.
API Development: creating REST/JSON APIs, API authentication.
Testing: PHPUnit.
Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JS: semantics, responsive layout, vanilla JS (event handling, AJAX, DOM API).
CI/CD: basic knowledge of GitLab CI or similar tools.
Composer, PSR standards.
Very important: good communication skills and stress resistance!
Also important: responsibility, attention to detail, analytical mindset, professionalism, proactivity, and being a team player.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Kafka / RabbitMQ.
Basic knowledge of Webpack.
Experience with Vue/React.
