Senior Legal Counsel (iGaming)

24 DEC 2025

Senior Legal Counsel (Igaming) - job description WHAT YOU’LL DO: iGaming Legal Support (Product/Commercial): Provide end-to-end legal support for iGaming projects: identify regulatory risks, support launches and product updates, and deliver clear legal positions that enable business decisions.

Structure and negotiate commercial arrangements (B2B/B2C), including multi-jurisdiction setups, and coordinate external counsel where required. iGaming Advertising & Marketing Compliance (Primary Focus):
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with affiliates, ad networks, media buying partners, agencies, influencers, tracking/anti-fraud vendors, and content partners. Build and maintain a robust marketing compliance framework for iGaming: rules for creatives/landing pages/messaging, age/geo gating, mandatory disclaimers, responsible iGaming requirements, and platform policy adherence. Assess and mitigate key risks: misleading advertising, prohibited targeting, brand infringement/IP misuse, UGC-related risks, and disputes or enforcement actions involving regulators/platforms/partners. Diia City (Ukraine):
Support the company’s operations under Diia City: corporate and commercial matters, internal governance, standard templates, and cross-functional enablement to maintain compliance. Draft/review key legal documents for specialists/contractors where relevant (including Diia City-specific formats as applicable), NDAs, IP assignment clauses, and internal policies/procedures. Lead and support processes for obtaining/renewing criticality status: prepare substantiation, compile documentation, manage compliance against eligibility criteria, and liaise with relevant authorities. Own the employee booking process end-to-end: prepare and submit documentation packages, handle follow-ups and requests for clarification, maintain registers, manage deadlines, and mitigate rejection risk. Corporate, Risk Management & Dispute Resolution:
Provide legal support for partnerships, vendor/outsourcing agreements, IP/brand matters, claims handling, and disputes (including with marketing partners and platforms). Monitor legal/regulatory developments across key jurisdictions (iGaming, advertising, privacy/data, and Ukraine-specific mobilization/booking procedures) and translate changes into actionable guidance for teams. Develop templates, playbooks, and checklists for marketing/product/sales; run enablement sessions to improve legal hygiene without slowing the business.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Legal Expertise (Senior Level):
5+ years of experience in commercial/corporate law in tech companies or product/service businesses (strong preference for iGaming, AdTech/marketing, and/or fintech/payments).
Strong command of contract law (drafting, negotiation, risk allocation, liability frameworks, indemnities, warranties), corporate law, IP, data protection, and compliance.
Ability to deliver pragmatic legal solutions in a high-velocity environment, balancing time-to-market with controlled risk.
iGaming & Advertising (Must-have):
Proven experience supporting iGaming projects, with a strong focus on iGaming advertising and marketing (affiliate marketing, media buying, ad networks/platforms, agencies, influencers, SEO/ASO, UGC/creative production).
Working knowledge of adjacent domains: KYC/AML, payments, chargebacks, dispute management, risk & compliance in digital products.
Ukraine Focus: Diia City:
Hands-on experience advising Ukrainian companies operating under Diia City (structure, ongoing compliance, standard documentation, IP frameworks, and—where relevant—equity/option and incentive tools).
Experience in obtaining and maintaining “critical enterprise” (criticality) status in Ukraine.
Practical expertise in employee booking (reservation from mobilization) procedures: documentation packages, coordination with relevant authorities/registries, timeline control, and risk management for rejections.
Cross-jurisdiction & Compliance:
Ability to interpret and apply regulations across multiple jurisdictions, manage local counsel, and operationalize legal conclusions into business processes.
Strong knowledge of GDPR/data protection, advertising compliance, platform policies (Google/Apple and major ad platforms), and consumer protection rules impacting digital products and subscriptions.
Key Skills (Core):
Strong ownership mindset: ability to operate autonomously as the legal point of accountability for complex workstreams.
Excellent stakeholder management across product/marketing/finance/compliance; ability to communicate complex legal topics in business terms.
Fluent Ukrainian; strong English sufficient for contract drafting, negotiations, and communication with international partners and counsel.
