Part-Time General QA Engineer (Manual, Automation-Ready) job description WHAT YOU’LL DO: Test end-to-end payment and subscription workflows (initial payments, renewals, retries, refunds, cancellations). Validate API and webhook integrations with Primer, Stripe, and internal services. Execute and document manual exploratory, functional, and regression tests across web and API layers. Help define acceptance criteria with Product / Engineering; create clear, reproducible bug reports. Set up and maintain basic automated sanity/regression tests (e.g., Postman collections, Playwright, REST-Assured). Work with developers to embed test cases in CI/CD (GitLab + ArgoCD). Verify data accuracy across systems (Postgres, Kafka, ClickHouse). Support performance and reliability testing for high-volume transaction flows. Ensure testing practices align with PCI-DSS and AWS security standards.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
3–5 years of QA experience, ideally in payments, fintech, or SaaS environments.
Strong manual testing background: test-case design, defect management, exploratory testing.
Working knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, Swagger).
Basic understanding of test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Java / Python / JS scripting).
Familiarity with SQL and inspecting data flows or logs.
Experience testing asynchronous systems (e.g., webhooks, Kafka events).
Good grasp of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Detail-oriented mindset and clear written communication.
Experience launching projects from scratch is a strong advantage.
