As we continue to scale, we are building a high-performing finance organization that enables growth, drives efficiency, and ensures financial excellence. The Role We are seeking a strategic and operational Head of Accounts Receivable (O2C) to lead, optimize, and own the entire financial Order-to-Cash process at Gentoo Media. This is a critical leadership role for an experienced finance professional passionate about automation, compliance, process improvement, and building scalable solutions in a fast-paced, international environment. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of the receivables processes—from contract review, invoicing, collections, and cash application to dispute resolution, reporting, and audit support. Your mission: ensure efficient cash conversion, minimize risk, strengthen financial controls, and lead the strategic transformation of the O2C function through technology and best-in-class processes.

What you will be doing

Drive standardization, process optimization, and automation to support scalability and operational excellence.
Partner with Sales and Legal teams to proactively manage contractual terms, billing structures, and customer payment terms.
Develop a data-driven AR function with real-time visibility of receivables and support with cash flow forecasts.
Establish and maintain a robust credit risk framework that supports profitable growth while safeguarding working capital.
Operational Leadership
Oversee accurate, timely invoicing processes across all markets and entities.
Manage collections, payment follow-ups, and resolution of disputes with a focus on maintaining strong customer relationships.
Design and implement structured credit risk assessments for new and existing customers, including credit scoring models, credit limits, and periodic reviews.
Collaborate with Commercial teams to align credit decisions with business strategy while managing exposure and default risk.
Establish effective credit management policies and monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance and early warning of high-risk accounts.
Own AR reporting, KPIs, and dashboards, providing strategic insights to senior management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal controls across jurisdictions.
Prepare and maintain documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
Act as the key point of contact for auditors in relation to receivables, payroll accounting (as relevant), and related financial controls.
Ensure audit trails, reconciliations, and internal controls are clearly documented, maintained, and kept up to date.
Support the continuous improvement of compliance frameworks and risk mitigation processes.
Automation & Technology
Identify, implement, and scale automation solutions to reduce manual processes within O2C (e.g., automated invoicing, dunning processes, cash application).
Work closely with IT and Finance Systems teams to enhance ERP and billing systems to support AR processes.
Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to enhance decision-making and performance tracking.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor a high-performing AR team across multiple locations.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Provide training and development opportunities to build expertise within the team.
