Content Writer – Francophone Africa

As part of the development of our Africa Business Unit , we are looking for a Content Writer specializing in the French-speaking African market .

About the position

 

Reporting to a Content Manager , the Content Writer is responsible for producing engaging, accurate and SEO-optimized articles .

 

Your main mission will be to produce quality content for our sites dedicated to the French-speaking African market , while respecting editorial standards, brand tone and the company's business objectives.

 

This role is key to maintaining a high level of quality, authority and relevance on our platforms in the highly competitive sectors of sports betting and iGaming .

 

This position requires excellent writing skills, rigorous research skills, and a good understanding of SEO and web content fundamentals .

 

Missions:

 

Content creation

 

Write original and high-quality articles while respecting the required editorial briefs, tone, and structure.

 

Adapt the writing style to the audiences and specificities of the French-speaking African market .

 

Ensure the accuracy of information and the clarity of content while maintaining an engaging and professional tone.

 

Produce a regular volume of content while respecting deadlines, quality standards and SEO requirements.

 

Conduct in-depth research on topics, trends and operators in order to provide reliable and up-to-date information.

 

To provide, where possible, in-depth expertise or direct experience on the topics covered.

 

SEO Integration

 

Apply good SEO practices: strategic use of keywords, internal linking, meta tags and optimized article structuring.

 

Follow content briefs and editorial guidelines to optimize visibility and conversion.

 

Collaborating with SEO specialists and the Content Manager to update or improve existing content.

 

Analyze article performance when requested and incorporate feedback to improve content quality and relevance.

 

Regularly review content to identify outdated information and implement necessary updates.

 

Collaboration & continuous improvement

 

Work closely with the Content Editors and the Content Manager to refine drafts and incorporate editorial feedback.

 

Cooperate with other writers to maintain consistent quality and tone across all projects.

 

Participate in content reviews and team meetings to improve writing quality and efficiency.

 

Communicate proactively about progress, challenges encountered, and content ideas.

 

Compliance & Quality

 

Ensure that all content complies with editorial standards, brand guidelines and applicable regulations , particularly in the gambling and sports sectors.

 

Maintain a neutral, accurate and responsible approach when writing about operators, games or predictions.

 

Perform a complete proofreading before submission to limit editorial corrections.

 

Keeping informed about regulatory developments, market trends and audience expectations.

 

Desired profile

 

Excellent writing skills in French

 

Good command of professional English to collaborate with international teams.

 

Experience in web writing, SEO copywriting or digital journalism , ideally in the sports, sports betting or iGaming sectors .

 

Good understanding of the fundamentals of SEO and web content .

 

Excellent research and information synthesis skills .

 

Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously .

 

Attention to detail and commitment to editorial quality .

 

Interest in sports news and the online gaming industry .

 

Experience with a CMS (WordPress or equivalent) is a plus.
