Content Editor – French-speaking Africa (M/F)

As part of the development of our Business Unit Africa, we are looking for a Content writer specializing in the French-speaking African market. About the position 

Attached to one Content Manager, the Content Editor is responsible for producing articles engaging, precise and optimized for natural referencing (SEO). Your main mission will be to produce quality content for our sites dedicated to french-speaking African market, while respecting editorial standards, the tone of brands and the company's business objectives. This role is key to maintaining a high level of quality, authority and relevance on our platforms in very competitive sectors sports betting and iGaming. This position requires excellent writing skills, great rigor in searching for information, as well as a good understanding of fundamentals of SEO and web content.
Missions:

Content creation

Write original, high-quality articles while respecting the editorial briefs, tone and structure requested.

Adapt the editorial style to the audiences and specificities of the french-speaking African market.

Ensure accuracy of information and clarity of content while maintaining an engaging and professional tone.

Produce a regular volume of content in compliance with deadlines, quality standards and SEO requirements.

Carry out in-depth research on themes, trends and operators in order to provide reliable and up-to-date information.

Provide, where possible, in-depth expertise or direct experience on the topics covered.

SEO integration

Apply good SEO practices: strategic use of keywords, internal linking, meta tags and optimized structuring of articles.

Follow content briefs and editorial guidelines to optimize visibility and conversion.

Collaborate with SEO specialists and the Content Manager to update or improve existing content.

Analyze the performance of articles when requested and integrate feedback to improve the quality and relevance of content.

Review content regularly to identify outdated information and implement necessary updates.

Collaboration & continuous improvement

Work closely with Content Editors and the Content Manager to refine drafts and integrate editorial feedback.

Cooperate with other editors to maintain consistent quality and tone across all projects.

Participate in content reviews and team meetings to improve editorial quality and efficiency.

Proactively communicate progress, challenges encountered and content ideas.

Compliance & quality

Ensure that all content complies with them editorial standards, brand guidelines and regulations in force, particularly in the gambling and sports sectors.

Maintain an approach neutral, precise and responsible when writing about operators, games or predictions.

Perform a complete proofreading before submission to limit editorial corrections.

Stay informed of regulatory developments, market trends and audience expectations.

Profile sought

Excellent writing skills french

Good command of professional english to collaborate with international teams.

Experience in web writing, SEO copywriting or digital journalism, ideally in the sectors of sports, sports betting or iGaming.

Good understanding of fundamentals of SEO and web content.

Excellent abilities research and synthesis of information.

Ability to work independently and manage several delays simultaneously.

Attention to detail and commitment to editorial quality.

Interest in sports news and the online gaming industry.

An experience with one CMS (WordPress or equivalent) is a plus.
