The Role
Legend is hiring a Backend Software Developer for Covers, reporting directly to our Engineering Manager.
At Covers, we’re building the future of sports media and betting experiences - and we need an engineer to help power the platform behind it. Our engineering team is focused on delivering scalable, high-performance products that serve millions of sports fans with real-time data, insights, and engaging digital experiences. With a strong backend focus, this role is centered on building reliable services, improving platform performance, and developing systems that enable our products to scale quickly and confidently.
You’ll play a hands-on role in designing and evolving backend architecture, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to technical decisions that shape the future of our platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help create resilient systems, support new product initiatives, and drive engineering excellence across the organization.

Your Impact
Mentor and develop more junior developers so we can build the best team!
Design, develop and execute innovative software solutions to address business needs
Ensure software architecture meets all performance, quality, and security requirements
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality solutions
Create modifications for existing software to upgrade performance
Aid in planning, analysis, and design of technical solutions in collaboration with our parent company
Maintain thorough documentation of systems and applications
What You'll Bring
5+ years’ experience as a Developer with strong C# / ASP.NET MVC expertise
Solid experience with Entity Framework, LINQ, and modern .NET practices
Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven systems
Strong database experience (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Proficient with Git, NuGet, and working with JSON/XML data formats
Excellent problem-solving skills with a fast-learning, adaptable mindset
Self-motivated team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and tackling new challenges
Nice to have: AWS, BDD, Agile/Scrum, mobile development, performance optimization, or experience in sports/affiliate marketing
The Interview Process
1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
2nd: CoderPad - Technical Assessment
3rd: Interview with Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2
4th: Final interview with our team, Interviewer 1 and Interviewer 2 (1 hour video via Zoom)
