The fan-first AI translates natural-language commands from sports fans and bettors, redirecting them to relevant betting opportunities, forecasting insights and sporting data. It allows football stats enthusiasts to dive deeper into the numbers and enhance both pre-match and in-play engagement and betting decisions.

Commenting on the launch, Stuart Simms, FairPlay group CEO, said that by combining the affiliate’s over 25 years of delivering sporting insights and Google Gemini’s ability to serve users with natural, conversational conveyance of information, Teammate is designed to be “a truly bespoke assistant service that suits the needs of sports bettors and data-hungry fans”.

The AI assistant will use Google Gemini’s advanced LLMs and UI, which support creative and productivity tools, engaging content delivery, advanced reasoning and complex tasks, while adapting design and responses for sports data.

Now live in beta mode, Teammate’s front end is designed to fit seamlessly as a white-label into partner apps and websites, increasing brand stickiness and offering monetisation opportunities for those hosting the sports lifestyle tool.

“Whether you need betting inspiration, you’re looking to find the best value that backs up a gut betting pick or want to explore betting opportunities around a player’s recent run of form, Teammate will point you in the direction to find the best bets and the most relevant markets, alongside forecasted tips and associated statistics and data,” Simms added.

FairPlay Sports Media recently announced a partnership with The Sporting News to leverage its AI and betting technology to drive engagement. It also completed the integration of the white-labelled sports forecasting engine Quarter4 this February, now operating under the new FairPlay Technologies arm.
