Unbroken, Shalem Fund’s annual charity poker gala, will take place on 22 March 2026 at EAST-TLV in Tel Aviv, benefiting the IDF Widows & Orphans Organization (IDFWO). The 2026 event marks the formal rebranding of an initiative active since 2024.

Reigning world champion Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi is confirmed to attend the event. Additional public figures, including Yoseph (Yusef) Haddad and former hostage Elkana Bohbot, local celebrities and business leaders, are expected to participate. Organisers anticipate 200–250 players and more than 100 guests.

Led by Shalem Fund co-founder Ory Weihs, together with event director Doron Ziony, the Unbroken initiative began in March 2024 with a charity art auction in Prague. It continued with the “Shalem for Israel” poker tournament at WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas, which raised over $140,000, followed by a second charity poker event in Israel in May 2025.

Founded in 1991, the IDF Widows & Orphans Organization provides lifelong educational, social, and community support to families who have lost loved ones in national service. For more information: https://www.idfwo.org/en/

Shalem Fund is a Czech-Israeli philanthropic organization dedicated to strengthening the national resilience of the State of Israel, deepening its connection with Jewish communities worldwide, and advancing Czech–Israeli relations. For more information: https://www.shalem.cz/en/

Since March 2024, Shalem Fund’s broader initiative has raised more than $320,000 for IDFWO. Weihs commented, “The gaming industry is global, dynamic, and deeply interconnected. Unbroken is about channeling that connectivity toward meaningful impact. The response from both gaming leaders and major business groups has been truly humbling.”

Supported by leading gaming and business brands

The 2026 gala has already secured support from leading online gaming companies, including Playtika, WorldGaming, B2Tech and more.

In addition, major companies from different sectors have joined the initiative, including Natural Intelligence, Fiverr, Harel Insurance, Gornitzky & Co., one of Israel’s leading law firms, and others.

Additional sponsors and private donors are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

100% of proceeds go directly to IDFWO

The event operates under a fully transparent structure with all operational and production costs covered by the Shalem Fund. There are no prizes or financial rewards.

As a result, 100% of sponsorship contributions and ticket sales are directed to the IDF Widows and Orphans Organization, ensuring maximum impact and accountability.
