Richard Dennys exits Game Lounge as co-founder steps back in as CEO

The tier 1 affiliate boss has announced his exit following a two-year tenure, with co-founder Jonas Cederholm returning as interim CEO.
Shared on LinkedIn, Dennys said this “feels like the right moment” for him to “take a step back and focus on what comes next”, adding that he is grateful “to have worked with such a talented and committed team across multiple countries” at the Cherry AB-owned business.
“Over the past two years, we’ve reshaped the business around its core strengths, expanded into new markets, and built a strong foundation for the future,” he added. “To everyone at Game Lounge, thank you. It’s been a privilege to be part of the journey. Keep pushing, keep questioning and never stop learning.”
Ahead of joining Game Lounge in February 2024, Dennys was CEO of the retail affiliate network Webgains. Initially working alongside Cederholm, who founded the business with Fredrik Langeland in 2011, Dennys was brought in to steer the company into “a new era of growth and opportunities”.
Although it is unclear where Dennys’ next chapter lies, he wrote that he will be “spending some time over the coming months with family & friends, while also exploring a small number of opportunities at board and advisory level, alongside potential investments".
Meanwhile, having been on the sidelines as a board member since 2024, Cederholm has now returned to the CEO hotseat and said he is “committed” to ensuring the company keeps “moving forward with clarity and focus” in a LinkedIn post.
“Game Lounge has built a strong position as a data-driven iGaming affiliate across global markets,” Cederholm added. “I want to thank the team for their trust, resilience and energy – it’s what makes this company what it is. And to our partners and industry peers: continuity and collaboration remain at the core of how we operate.”

Initiatives delivered under Dennys’ tenure include the GLX startup incubator and the Kiickr sub-affiliation network.
