QiH has announced the appointment of James McCarthy as its new CMO, who started in his new role on 2 June.
McCarthy arrived at QiH after three-and-a-half years at LiveScore, where he served as the company’s managing director. He originally joined as head of digital before taking on the role of director of digital marketing.
David Murphy, who served as QiH’s previous CMO, joined in April 2024 and exited the role in January 2025. While in the role, Murphy spoke to iGB Affiliate on QiH's step into the sports vertical, the entry to the US markets and programmatic marketing.
McCarthy will be based in the affiliate’s London office and manage the marketing team of 17, with plans to expand the team’s headcount to 27 in the coming months. He will also be tasked with overseeing the target of double digit growth through marketing channels and commercial relationships.
On his new role, McCarthy said that it was “such a pleasure to join a company that has grown so thoroughly and organically in licensed markets. QiH Group is a big name in the iGaming affiliate space, and I look forward to managing the continued growth in diversified sectors and locations.”
Jamie Walters, CEO of QiH Group, said on the appointment of the new CMO that “QiH has moved from strength to strength recently, growing and adapting with the iGaming markets in the UK, Europe and North America.
“Welcoming someone as experienced and talented as James [McCarthy] onto our team is another strong step for us. I welcome his expertise and am delighted to see where his marketing leadership takes us.”
