Catena Media has announced the appointment of Michael Gerrow as group CFO and Edward Midolo as CTO.

Gerrow will also become part of the affiliate’s executive management team when assuming the role on 15 April. He joined the company in 2020 in its Malta-based operations and currently sits as the VP of finance, based in Miami, USA.

Gerrow as VP of finance leads the company’s financial planning and analysis function and holds professional accounting qualifications from CPA Canada and ACCA UK.

Midolo was previously VP of systems technology at the affiliate company, having joined as head of technical operations back in 2018.

Gerrow will succeed Erik Edeen, the interim group CFO, who was tasked with improving Catena’s operating model and financial position. Edeen will continue at the affiliate in a strategic advisory role.

Catena Media interim CEO Pierre Cadena said that the company is delighted “to see Michael [Gerrow] step into the role of Group CFO”.

“His extensive experience and deep understanding of our financial operations make him exceptionally well-suited to lead our financial operations going forward.

“Michael's transition to this role will provide strategic continuity in our executive management team, supporting Catena Media as we continue on the next phase of our journey.”

“For the last six years, Edward has driven tech innovation within the company and industry and provided stellar leadership,” Catena said on Midolo. “We are so excited for this next chapter of his Catena journey.”

The affiliate recently confirmed that Manuel Stan would be taking over from Cadena as CEO from 1 July 2024 as well as proposing Erik Flinck as chairman of its board.
