GiG’s fast-growing affiliate business has added legendary player advocacy platform Casinomeister to its portfolio.

It said the €3m buy would solidify GiG’s commitment to raising standards of transparency and fairness across the online casino industry, on the back of the AskGamblers and KaFe Rocks acquisitions.

Malta-headquartered GiG said it expected the master affiliate to experience similar growth to AskGamblers since its acquisition 18 months ago.

The website started by Bryan Bailey as a hobby back in 1998 runs a player complaint resolution service, as well as providing reviews and a popular player forum.

Interim GiG CEO Jonas Warrer, who will head up the Media arm following its imminent split from the B2B platform business in 3Q24, said: “Together, these platforms will enhance our market reach and optimise the complaint resolution services we provide to the community, reinforcing our position at the forefront of player advocacy."

Casinomeister founder Bryan Bailey, pictured left receiving his Affiliate Idol recognition in the 2022 iGB Affiliate Awards from Clarion Gaming non-exec chair Michael Caselli, said he was “entrusting this to the most capable team in the industry to continue its mission of advocating for fair play. I have a long history with GiG Media, and I am confident that they will maintain the values and principles that Casinomeister stands for, ensuring a smooth transition and a bright future for the online gaming community.”

GiG also emphasised in its release today that Casinomeister’s brand and “unique voice” would be preserved following the acquisition, due to complete later this month. It said the buy would have an immediate positive financial impact, expected to increase as the operations were absorbed into the wider business.
