iGB Affiliate Awards

iGB Affiliate Awards
Thanks for your interest in the iGB Affiliate Awards 2018. The awards took place during this year's London Affiliate Conference.
You can see the highlights from the London Affiliate Conference 2018 awards below.
The iGB Affiliate Awards are the most respected awards in the industry with a focus on transparency - the awards are designed to reward those who give their all for our industry. We are proud to continually deliver transparent and inclusive awards and look forward to hosting another fantastic event in 2018.
You can view the winners from the iGB Affiliate Awards 2018 by clicking here.
The theme for the iGB Affiliate Awards in 2018 was "Tenacity". The winners were those who embraced hard work, who were tenacious and determined day to day and who continually made a positive impact on our industry.
A reminder about some of the changes that we made to the iGB Affiliate Awards process in 2018, which will continue in 2018:
- Criteria: The criteria will be at the forefront of both the nomination and judging process. The criteria will also focus on the last 12 months and not before - the awards will be about momentum and not size.
- The categories: We have reduced the number of awards from 32 to 24.
- Nominations and voting: The nominations process will remain similar to previous years, however, the voting (which was open to abuse) has been dropped from the process. We now have a nominations board that will use the information supplied as well as their own industry knowledge to create a shortlist of no more than 7 candidates.
- Judging: For judging the focus will be on the criteria, with points allocated to each item to drive accountability and transparency. There is an increased number of judges and have created a head judge for each category who is accountable for the final decision collated with the fellow judges. The judge’s decision will be final but the head judge will get involved if it’s a tie. The judges will also hold a Q&A with each shortlisted candidate, which will be recorded and made available for you to view. The judges will also create a document for each award that clearly defines why each winner won.
- Free to attend: The iGB Affiliate Awards 2017 will be all inclusive! The event is free to attend for everyone registered to attend the London Affiliate Conference.
- VIP tables: If you want a little something extra, VIP tables will be available to book. These will include seating close to the stage and alcohol.
The iGB Affiliate Awards are hosted by iGB Affiliate; organisers of the iGB Affiliate event series and publishers of iGB Affiliate magazine.

- Best affiliate newcomer
Since we launched the iGB Affiliate events 11 years ago we have continually heard “the market is full and there is no space for newcomers” but this is evidently wrong. Whether it’s through innovation, new niches, geography or simply hard work we constantly see successful new entrants from both the affiliate and operator side launch and grow to take market share which is what makes our sector so exciting and dynamic. This award is there to congratulate those newcomers and recognise that they are the best of the best of that year.
All newcomers must be a new launch to the igaming affiliate market from Oct 1st 2015 to Nov 1st 2016, unfortunately a redesign or re-launch will not be accepted in this category.
The judges will be marking against example criteria such as the below:
Affiliates
- What differentiates you from the “crowd”?
- What growth have you seen since launch in terms of traffic and revenue?
- How have you innovated?
- How are you generating traffic and how does this compare to your competitors?
- What are your business objectives for year 1 and 2 and how are you doing against these?
- How do you see the business scaling?
Affiliate programs
- What differentiates you from the “crowd”?
- What growth have you seen since launch in terms of affiliate signups and players generated from this source?
- How have you innovated?
- What do you do differently to manage and grow both your affiliate and player database?
- What are your business objectives for year 1 and 2 and how are you doing against these?
- How do you see the business scaling?
Gambling or gaming can be traced back thousands of years and many of the most popular games are the oldest however there is still huge opportunity for innovation in this sector whether this is a completely new game or technical innovation to increase player retention. In this category we want to find the most innovative product or solution created since 1st October 2015.
The judges will be marking against example criteria such as the below:
- What makes this innovation a game changer – How is it different?
- What are the key benefits of this innovation?
- What evidence do you have of how this innovation has provided positive ROI or had a significant business impact
- How do you expect to further develop this piece of innovation over 1, 3 and 5 years?
- Best non-English affliate website
- Best non-English affiliate program
This is a new award introduced in 2016 to recognise the affiliates and affiliate programs that operate outside of the English speaking markets. This was a direct result of industry feedback that felt it was difficult for specific country focused businesses to compete in some of the other categories that are at times very English language focused due to the nature of the industry and our community.
The judges will be marking against example criteria such as the below:
Affiliates
- How has your business grown over the last 12 months?
- What positive changes have you implemented and how has this changed your business?
- How have you increased the volume and quality of your traffic?
- How have you innovated in the last 12 months?
- How has your rankings changed over the last 12 months?
- How have you increased your brand power over the last 12 months?
- How have you improved your relationships with your affiliate programs in the last 12 months?
Affiliate programs
- How has your program changed in the last 12 months?
- How have you innovated in the last 12 months?
- What have you done to improve your relationship with your affiliates?
- What have you done to increase market share?
- What have you done to increase player conversion and retention?
- How have you helped your current affiliate base grow their earnings and business?
- How have you improved how you support affiliates?
- What have you done to attract and retain new affiliates?
One of the biggest game changers in marketing has been the proliferation of social media and therefore the ability for brands to influence and lead conversations. As result established affiliates have utilised this channel to drive additional traffic, connect with their community and raise their brand whilst at the same time new affiliates have emerged that in some cases only use this channel to drive traffic. This new award has been created to reward affiliates that are utilising this channel in the best way possible with specific focus on what they have done over the last 12 months?
The judges will be marking against example criteria such as the below:
- How are you using social media in your business and how has this improved over the last 12 months?
- What makes what you do with social media different from your competitors?
- Please provide your key performance indicators in social media and how these have changed over the last 12 months.
- How do you integrate social media into other marketing activity you carry out?
- How does your use of social media support your overall business objectives?
