BoyleSports extends backing of darts’ World Grand Prix

By Robert Fletcher

BoyleSports has extended its title sponsorship of darts’ World Grand Prix for a further three years.

The Irish bookmaker has been title sponsor of the event since 2019 and the extension will see the contest continue to be known as the BoyleSports World Grand Prix.

Michael van Gerwen won the event in BoyleSports’ first year as title sponsor, then Gerwyn Price in 2020 and Jonny Clayton this year.

“BoyleSports have been a valued sponsor of the PDC for many years across a number of tournaments, but the World Grand Prix is a perfect fit for them and we're delighted that they will continue as title sponsors until at least 2024,” PDC chief executive Matt Porter said.

“The BoyleSports World Grand Prix is synonymous with Dublin and we're all looking forward to taking the event back there in 2022 for one of the highlights of the PDC calendar.”

Mark Kemp, chief executive of BoyleSports, added: “BoyleSports are delighted to continue our strong commitment to the PDC and world darts by extending our sponsorship of one of the biggest and best events on the PDC calendar.

“The BoyleSports World Grand Prix will be back in October 2022 and we are already looking forward to seeing the world's best players pitted against each other in the unique format.”
