The affiliate has announced that its CFO and board director Caroline Ackroyd has resigned.

XLMedia also confirmed that Ackroyd’s decision is ahead of a view to join an operator in the gambling sector.

She will remain with the affiliate until 31 March 2024 to assist with handover duties.

Marcus Rich, XLMedia chair commented that Ackroyd “made a considerable contribution to XLMedia over the past two years.”

“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank her for this, and to offer her our best wishes for the future,” he added.

Ackroyd held the CFO position at the affiliate from March 2022, with previous experience at Jaywing and Push Doctor in the same role.

She also worked as a finance consultant and deputy finance director during her time at Sky Betting & Gaming between January 2015 and November 2018. As well as spending time at Coral as finance director from June 2012 and October 2014.

XLMedia financial predictions drop

The news on Ackroyd comes after the affiliate last month revealed that its 2023 revenue would fall below that of previous years, citing shortfalls in the North American markets.

Revenue for the XLMedia Group is expected to now fall in the range of $50m (£39m/€46m) to $52m. XLMedia reported revenue of $73.7m in 2022 and $66.5m in 2021.

Adjusted EBITDA is also expected to fall lower than the $16.7m recorded in 2022 and the $17.9m in 2021. A figure between $12m and $14m is now predicted.
