Casino.online has announced the transfer of the Betting.online domain from Radix for $400,000 (£330,000/€378,000).

The deal is the highest for any new generic top-level domain in the last five years. It was conducted through the registry with escrow.com facilitating the process.

The sale also has secured the joint fifth-highest domain sale across all top-level domains in 2023, according to the acquiring company.

Previously, the domain inventory registry sold the Casino.online domain to its current owners for around $200,000 in 2017.

Patrick Gerhard, Casino.online CEO expressed his enthusiasm for the domain purchase. “The acquisition of betting.online is a significant milestone for us.

We envision leveraging this .online domain to fortify our industry presence,” the CEO added. “Such high-value domains align perfectly with our brand's vision and objectives.”

Radix revealed that it has plans to either directly engage potential clients for future domain sales or collaborate with “renowned brokerages and online marketplaces”.
