Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Email Performance
Assistant to support the day-to-day execution and optimisation of email
deliverability initiatives. Reporting directly to our Email Deliverability
Specialist, this role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in email
marketing who is looking to deepen their expertise in deliverability and
sender reputation

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the management and warm-up of multiple dedicated IP
addresses (currently 50+) across various email platforms.
Support the setup, submission, and maintenance of sender certification processes, specifically Return Path (Validity Sender
Certification).
From a deliverability perspective, help manage email campaign strategy including template preparation, audience segmentation,
and data hygiene.
Contribute to deliverability monitoring and troubleshooting in collaboration with our Email Deliverability Lead.
Coordinate with developers and design teams to ensure associated websites and landing pages meet email best practices.
Use Everest or equivalent tools to monitor inbox placement, engagement metrics, and sender reputation.
Analyse and report on key email performance metrics (open rates, click rates, bounce rates, etc.).
Maintain accurate documentation of domain/IP configuration, email authentication, and warm-up progress.
Stay up to date with email industry trends, ISP policy changes, and deliverability best practices.
 
The ideal candidate:
Minimum 12 months of experience in email marketing, ideally
within a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
Hands-on experience with email campaign management, including:
- Email content creation and layout
- CRM/data segmentation and targetingoPerformance reporting and analysis
Familiarity with core deliverability concepts (e.g. authentication,
spam traps, blocklists, engagement metrics).
Previous experience working with at least one major ESP, ideally:
- Dotdigital
- Adestra
- SendGrid
Exposure to or understanding of Return Path sender certification
(Validity) is highly desirable, as it forms a core part of the role.
Experience using deliverability tools/platforms such as Everest or
Postmaster Tools is an advantage.
Understanding of sender reputation and inbox placement
principles.
Familiarity with DNS configuration and records (SPF, DKIM,
DMARC, etc.) is ideal.
Familiarity with IP and Domain warm-up strategies
Broader digital marketing knowledge (e.g. SEO, PPC, social) is a
plus.
