Calling all football Enthusiasts and Word Wizards! Are you passionate about the adrenaline-pumping world of football? Do you have a knack for weaving gripping narratives that leave readers on the edge of their seats? Then we want you to join the Soccernews team!



About the role

At Soccernews.nl we want to be the preferred media for all football lovers in the Netherlands and to become that we are looking for a skilled journalist to join our growing team of content producers.

You will work closely with the Editor-in-chief of Soccernews, Maikel De Lange, to make sure Soccernews are always delivering the fastest football news. In this role you will both be researching and writing your own stories, but a great part of the job is also to assist on strategic journalistic projects and feedback to all our contributors of Soccernews to make sure they are ready to deliver their best.

Job requirements
Your main responsibilities

Be the contact person for all Soccernews.nl team members alongside the Editor-in-chief

Perform quality assurance checks of articles (spelling, news choice, headers)

Work closely with central group functions (e.g. central PR department) in the Better Collective group

Lead the contact to our premium content creators, ex Dutch national team player Anouk Hoogendijk and ex Ajax and PSV coach Aad de Mos

Assist our premium content creators in creating scripts for video formats and research the right interview questions

Turn our video interviews into written articles on Soccernews.nl

Don’t be shy to take a shift on Soccernews.nl every once in a while.
