Popular casino comparison site launches dedicated no wagering bingo area and exclusive wager-free bingo bonuses and promotions.

NoWagering.com, a website specialising in casinos and bonuses with low and no wagering requirements, has enhanced its offering by launching a brand-new area dedicated to no wagering bingo and exclusive wager-free bingo bonuses and promotions.

The popular comparison website, which has been operating since 2017, has traditionally offered players casino bonuses and free spins with no wagering requirements, enabling players to keep what they win without any caveats.

NoWagering.com now also offers players fair and transparent bingo bonuses from popular operators including PlayOJO Bingo, Heart Bingo, Paddy Power Bingo, Betfred Bingo and Bet365 Bingo, as well as a number of new bingo sites including Quality Bingo, Bounce Bingo and Lovehearts Bingo.

Future growth

This move comes during a time of exponential growth for Double Up Media, the company behind the site. The Nottingham-based affiliate marketing agency recently announced the acquisition of Best Bingo Websites, bolstering its portfolio of igaming websites which also includes Slot Gods and Lucky Game Shows.

Discussing its move into bingo, site founder Pavlos Sideris said: “We’re all very excited to introduce bingo to No Wagering. We’ve been educating players and raising awareness of honest, transparent casinos that offer fair wager-free bonuses for years, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’re broadening our focus to include bingo.

“Bingo has grown massively in popularity over the last few years, and there’s no longer the perception that it’s an uncool game played exclusively by the elderly in bingo halls. We therefore feel that there’s no better time for No Wagering to cater to the wider audience.

“There are a number of operators that have already committed to offering players great value bonuses such as wager-free bingo, bonus cash and free spins on slots.

“We already give credit to the online casinos that value the importance of fairness and transparency, and bingo sites embracing the same ethos deserve the same recognition”

Focusing on fairness

No-wagering bingo sites are no new innovation, they have actually been around significantly longer than no-wagering casinos that offer wager-free spins on selected online slots.

The rise in bingo’s popularity in recent years shows that there’s still a high and lasting demand in the vertical, especially considering that more and more of igaming’s leading operators are heading down the ‘no wagering’ route.

This is reinforced by Flutter Entertainment's recent acquisition of one of the world’s leading bingo websites Tombola, a brand that prides itself on treating players fairly and providing them with all the tools they may need to play and enjoy bingo safely.

Wagering requirements under scrutiny

Wagering requirements have come under intense scrutiny in recent years following a CMA investigation into whether gambling firms are treating customers fairly. The review found that players may be losing out due to being “locked into complex and strict requirements [wagering requirements] that are difficult to understand and may be unachievable”. Furthermore, concerns were raised that these terms “require people to play for longer than they had bargained for before they can withdraw money” and that players “may not be able to withdraw what remains of their deposit, and any winnings, when they want to stop playing”.

Although not yet confirmed, it’s likely that the effect of wagering requirements will be examined during the ongoing review of the Gambling Act (2005).  The key areas of focus we already know about are online protection for players including stake/loss limits and affordability checks; gambling advertising and sponsorship including promotions and VIP schemes; and age limits and verification.

The review is expected to be concluded in early 2022, when the government will release a white paper disclosing its findings and recommendations for reforming the industry.
