In response to its recent wins, King Billy Casino’s internal communications team conducted and composed an interview with the team behind the brand, featuring CEO Vladimir Harkusha and head of affiliates, Ruslan Legenzov.
The excitement from King Billy Casino’s first victory at the iGB Awards (Best Casino Affiliate Program 2019) is still sending ripples of joy across the King Billy land and resonates with their affiliates. Even though by now the laurels on the winners’ heads may seem just a tad less green, the King Billy Casino people we talked to think there is still room for celebration – but for the future.
King Billy CEO Vladimir Harkusha explains “We are going through a post-victory euphoria, which we try to channel into productivity and innovation for our next day challenges. And believe me, they are not few!”
So, we asked him if even more awards are a part of these challenges. After all, once you get into the habit of winning (King Billy has won 4 awards in its 2 years of operations) you do develop a tendency to become hungry for trophies. Vladimir smiles: “Awards are fine, and as I said, they really motivate us, but last time we checked, you cannot really pay the bills with them! Although we would never say no to more industry distinctions, right now our priorities lie elsewhere, as King Billy Casino has reached a very crucial point of its expansion phase.”
“To be more specific, we have arrived at the level of maturity where we can examine, unhindered, all possibilities and all markets, where we can spread the word of the King to new audiences. We have the momentum, we have the knowledge and moreover, we have the right persons for the job!”
One of the right persons for the job must surely be Ruslan Legenzov, head of affiliates at King Billy Casino. We ask him directly if he considers himself the right staff. Legenzov answers immediately and without hesitation “you are as right for the job as your team is for you! I have the honour and the privilege to be surrounded by some of the youngest and brightest minds in the industry, quick-witted and hard working. I feel really lucky to work with them”.
Well, some guys have all the luck! Or, to paraphrase the well-known tune, “some Kings have all the luck”. Does the imminent future have any special plans for Ruslan Legenzov and his team of superboys and supergirls? Ruslan smiles and replies “the company’s strategic path, set in early 2019, even before all these awards, has one big word: Expansion.
“Right now, we are examining new affiliate markets where we can leverage our existing expertise and utilise our set of tools that make us unique.” And where exactly might the King and his entourage cross new frontiers? The steppes of Asia? The savannas of Africa? The old US of A? Legenzov does his best Schwarzenegger-meets-Netflix-Narcos impersonation:
“Hasta la vista, baby! We believe that there are unexplored possibilities in the Latin America markets that could and should be explored by serious online gaming organisations. These are lands well explored by Gonzo (Ruslan means the NetEnt’s famous slot) but not yet by operators, in their full potential. We want to revise this!”
So, if all goes according to plan, King Billy may restore a reign not seen in centuries, at least in the real world: a kingdom covering all continents. Can they do it? We would not bet against them.
