Gambling.com tops affiliate website rankings

Gambling.com was found to have accounted for 7.14% of the ‘share of the voice’ in the sector, with Oddschecker following on 5.1% and Mybettingsites.co.uk on 4.81%.
Pi Datametrics measured Google searches for users looking for information and guidance on betting.
The report, Pi Leaderboard Report UK – Gambling: Sportsbook, also found that horse racing and football were the most searched sports.
Sporting events lead to spikes during the year, the report added, while more than 20 million searches are made per year for major sports via Google UK each year.
Meanwhile, sports betting affiliate Oddshark topped the rankings in Google US searches.
Oddshark’s 7.70% voice share saw it top Pi Datametrics’ rankings, with affiliate and news site PlayUSA coming in second with a 6.94% share. Also appearing in the top 10 were media portals CBS Sports and ESPN, while the NFL American football league’s official site was ranked tenth.
Online encyclopaedia Wikipedia was ranked sixth, with a 3.36% share of voice.
The vast majority of searches related to American football, which accounted for almost two thirds of searches between December 2017 and November 2018.
