Although most affiliates are happy to play by the rules, there are still people out there who will target and attack your site. With the world of SEO changing so quickly so are the threats. Paul presents, in detail, the impossible task and a terrifying Poker related discovery.

SEO has changed in the past few years. Google can now back it up when it says links have to be natural and organic - but how do betting and gaming brands make it happen? Great content marketing, ranging from the written word and engaging infographics to data-rich stories and interactive microsites can give big, reputable sites a reason to write about and link to your betting site.

The problem is that creating this type of top content and getting quality organic links is where internal marketing teams struggle the most - across all industries. In gaming it is even harder as often there isn't a huge creative marketing team, and even when you do have a team, many news sites, bloggers and influencers don't want to link to gaming companies.

In this presentation, Martin will discuss five top strategies to create a content marketing strategy that builds your brand and earns big links:

    •  Understand what top media and industry sites want from content
    •  Create emotional content marketing
    •  Use data
    •  Capitalise on the current news or media agenda
    •  Create evergreen content

With straightforward examples of how to make content work support your SEO and wider digital strategy, this is an unmissable presentation from a senior member of the www.blueclaw.co.uk team - experts in betting and gaming digital strategy.

You may have had three days of non-stop networking. Your legs might be tired and your throat a little bit raspy from all of those meetings. But... the show isn't quite over yet.

Head down to Avenue Club for our closing night party to see your conference off in style.

Did you know, the closing night party is where you are most likely to expand your network. Everyone is feeling good after a long conference, they've let their hair down a little and they are ready to chat with their new contacts.

This is one you don't want to miss.

We are heading back to one of our favourite clubs in Berlin, Avenue. Avenue has traditionally been our opening night party location, but this year we thought it was the perfect place to see off a successful conference.

If you haven't been to Avenue before, expect the unexpected - it's a maze down to the underground bar. Once you're in, there are two dance floors, plenty of lounge seating and a central bar with drinks flowing all night long.

    See you there!

Who wants to jump onto a flight straight after a busy conference? Nobody does. Postpone your trip home and come and join us for the famous Intertops Unwind Session.

Catch up with new contacts and old friends and finally nail down that client who has been too busy to fit you in at the conference. The Intertops Unwind Session is the best place for some last minute networking.

This year, we are heading to Corroboree. Corroboree is a fantastic Australian inspired restaurant/bar on Potsdamer Platz offering a fantastic blend of German and aboriginal culture.

That means great beer, great architecture, great food and a fantastic atmosphere.

So book your flights home a little bit later, and we will see you down there from 13:00 to 16:00.

Networking

The Berlin Affiliate Conference guarantees to keep you busy from the moment you land. From a networking perspective, we offer many opportunities pre-event and at the show.

Prior to the Berlin Affiliate Conference, you can network with other delegates by:

  • Joining our communities on social media - we have profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram
  • Registering for the show early so that you can get access to the networking tool and access to our secret Facebook group.

At this year's event, the following networking opportunities are available for you, on top of the networking breaks that will take place throughout the day in the exhibition hall.

Wednesday 1st November 2017

Welcome drinks sponsored by WPN, 16:00 - 18:00

Join us at the official hotel from 16:00 - 18:00 on the 1st November for our welcome drinks. The event, which is sponsored by WPN Affiliates, is the best place to pick up your badge early and meet your network before the full conference kicks off.

As we have moved official hotel, the Berlin Affiliate Conference welcome drinks will be moving with us.

The welcome drinks will now take place at the Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade alongside pre-registration. The new hotel brings plenty of benefits for our pre-registration and welcome drinks event.

The hotel is spacious and perfect for meeting your fellow delegates before the show has even started. Pre-registration will be taking place from 13:00 - 19:00 with the WPN Affiliates welcome drinks taking place from 16:00 - 18:00 - stick around once you have picked up your badge for a few free drinks.

Opening night networking party co-hosted with EIG, 21:00 - late

The last time we were in Berlin we celebrated the end of a great conference at E4 club. This year we're heading back to launch the Berlin Affiliate Conference 2017.

Once you're finished up with pre-registration and our welcome drinks, head over to Potsdamer Platz to join us in celebrating your first night in Berlin.

E4 is one of many unique Berlin clubs - it is set across three floors with various bars, seating areas and dance floors to meet your needs.

E4 offers great views across Potsdamer Platz and Berlin. It's the best place for you to get a Berlin panoramic and to meet your fellow delegates before the show has even begun.

Expect great beer, great music and great networking.

Thursday 2nd November 2017

Official networking party, 21:00 - late

We’ve teamed up with sponsor UPayCard to bring you a networking party you won’t forget.

On Thursday night we’ll be heading down to Mohrenstraße to one of Berlin’s most stylish bars – BRICKS Club. BRICKS combines comfortable furniture with industrial design to create a bar that entices you in with an elegant swagger. The relaxed atmosphere gives you the opportunity to continue your networking late into the night without being too crazy.

Head on down once you’re finished up at the Messe and savour a craft beer, swirl an experimental cocktail or just lean back with a glass of BRICKS gin - distilled on site by founders Frank and Carsten.

Join us from 9:00 until late to celebrate a successful second day of BAC 2017.

Friday 3rd November 2017

Closing night networking party, 21:00 - late

Saturday 4th November 2017

Saturday unwind session, 13:00 - 16:00

Affiliates

Also called publishers or webmasters, an affiliate is a person that refers traffic (in this case players) to an operator website, for example pokerlistings.com would refer a player to 888.com. The affiliate is then paid a revenue share or CPA (cost per acquisition) for each of the players they send.

Introducing brokers

Introducing broker is a person or institution who has all the functions of a broker, except to accept money or any type of investment. The introducing broker (IB) usually refers its clients to a dealer and, in return, receives a compensation, such as commissions.

Registering as an affiliate or introducing broker

If you are not sure if you qualify as an affiliate or IB, please email Suzanne@iGamingBusiness.com with details of your business. We will then be able to let you know if you are liable for free entry. If you register as an affiliate or IB under false pretense, we reserve the right to refuse you entry on the day.

If we are made aware of anyone that has entered the event as an affiliate or IB and is in fact not, they will be asked to leave the venue. They will then be given the opportunity to register again and pay for their delegate place, allowing them to return to the show. If they choose not to do this, they will be refused entry to the remainder of the event and associated parties.

We ask for your help in letting us know immediately if you believe someone has registered as an affiliate or IB who should not have. Please approach any member of the events team who will deal with this in the strictest confidence.

Please remember that we can only continue to run these events so that operators and vendors can meet the best quality affiliates and IBs if those that should pay for entrance do.

To avoid queueing or elongated administration processes, it is advised that you bring your barcode ticket with you when registering. The e-ticket holds all your details that the BAC staff need to hand you your pass and wristband, so you can enter the exhibition, conference and networking parties.

If you have any queries about your registration, please contact info@igamingbusiness.com

We welcome all applications from the media. Please email Haydn@iGamingBusiness.com with your name, the name and address of the media publication, as well as the name of your editor and their contact details.

Once we have confirmed your details, we will contact you regarding whether or not your application has been successful.

Affiliates & Introducing Brokers

Email confirmation will be sent to your inbox once you've registered however please allow 5 working days for us to validate your Affiliate/Introducing Broker status. Your barcoded e-ticket will then be sent to once we have validated your status. We will contact you if your registration has been unsuccessful, as your Affiliate or Introducing Broker status will need to be validated in order to gain entry to the conference. This is standard procedure to ensure that we can continue to provide high quality events completely FREE of charge for all Affiliates and Introducing Brokers.

Non-affiliates

All payment correspondence will be sent to the individual booking contact of each registration. Confirmation including the barcoded e-ticket will be sent to each individual registered delegate once full payment has been received.

If you did not receive or have lost your e-ticket, please contact info@iGamingBusiness.com to be issued a replacement.

Badges can either be collected on the first day of the event at pre-registration between 1pm-7pm at the official BAC hotel or you can pick them up from the exhibition venue from 09:30 on the first day of the conference and from 10:00 on the second day of the conference.
